The elite part of our club is often called DC Force, the DC meaning Diamond Creek, and plays at the State Netball Hockey Centre.
DC Force selects teams for the Autumn and Spring Parkville Competitions . There are no scheduled Spring selections, however teams may be adjusted for the Spring season as necessary and to accommodate VNL players. DC Force enter a minimum of two teams in the Parkville Competitions– Premier Open Tuesday, 17/U Tuesday and 15/U Thursday. To be part of this elite squad anyone from 15/U, 17/U and Open can try out for selection. Tryouts are held once a year and in order to be eligible players must complete and submit an official Selection Application Form by the due date.
We encourage all players who so desire to tryout. You may just what the selectors are looking for. Keep in mind there is a much more serious and intense training regime at RMIT on Sundays and all games are night at the State Netball Hockey Centre, Royal Park. You must be prepared for this commitment and non open players must have the support of parents. There is significant cost involved as well, but there is some prestige about playing for Diamond Creek Force. So if you think you have what it takes by all means tryout and give it a go. For further enquiries call Neil Wallmeyer (DC Force Representative ) 0403 310 480 email bubba41@bigpond.com or call Brooke George (Head Coach) 0407 162 308 2012 Tryouts Sunday 23rd October & Sunday 6th November 2011 at RMIT see application form for all of the details.

VNL – the Victorian Netball League, is the competition that Netball Victoria has implemented to replace State League beyond 2008. The new concept involved Netball Clubs/Groups from around Victoria submitting a detailed application to Netball Victoria, to secure one of the ten licences on offer and to be part of the Victorian Netball League in 2009 and beyond. All VNL licensees will field teams in Championship Division, Division 1 and 19&Under Division. Looking towards this Diamond Creek Force Netball Association approached Banyule Netball Association with the view of putting together a joint submission. Both committees voted and agreed to be the key foundation partners for a new Club, North East Alliance. After a lot of hard work and long hours, North East Alliance, submitted a detailed application for the VNL. On July 21 2008, Netball Victoria announced that we were one of the ten to be granted a licence for the new VNL. What does it mean to you the as players of Diamond Creek Force Netball– it means that you are now a member of one of the foundation partners of one of the new VNL Clubs, who will provide the final step in our current development pathway, all the way to VNL. With Vixens competing in the ANZ Championship, Trans Tasman Competition, the VNL is a key part of the Victorian pathway, towards that goal of playing for your State or Country. |
